NHD T-Shirt Design Contest

National History Day® is looking for a new t-shirt design! We awarding prizes for two designs. One design is for the National History Day® t-shirt and the other is for the annual theme t-shirt. The theme in 2016 is Exploration, Encounter, Exchange in History.
The winning designs will be placed on various clothing items for sale at the National Contest in June 2016. The winner of each design will receive recognition at the contest, a free item with their design on it and a special prize.
To enter, email your design to info@nhd.org with the subject “2016 Design Contest.” Include your name, your state, phone number, and your affiliation with National History Day® (alum, participant, teacher, etc.). All entries must be received by December 31, 2015.
Contest Rules:
  1. All entries must be received by December 31, 2015.
  2. All designs must be completely original with no use of copyrighted material.
  3. All designs must be limited to three colors.
  4. All designs must be only one sided (no backs or sleeve designs).
  5. By submitting an entry, you grant National History Day, Inc.® ownership of the design and permission to use it in on any merchandise and marketing materials as we choose.
  6. Files may be submitted as a .PDF, .EPS or hi-res .JPG.
  7. The winner will be announced by January 31, 2016.

Fun Contest!! DOODLE 4 GOOGLE

PRIZES

National Winner

The National Winner will have his or her doodle featured on the U.S. Google.com homepage for one day. He or she will receive:

  • A $30,000 college scholarship
  • A $50,000 Google for Education grant for his or her school
  • A trip to the Google Headquarters in California to meet the Google Doodlers, and the opportunity to nominate a teacher to come on the trip
  • A Chromebook
  • An Android tablet
  • A t-shirt printed with his or her doodle on it

National Finalists

The four National Finalists who do not become the National Winner will have their doodles featured in the Doodle 4 Google gallery. Each National Finalist will receive:

  • A $5,000 college scholarship
  • A trip to the Google Headquarters in California to meet the Google Doodlers
  • An Android tablet
  • A t-shirt printed with his or her doodle on it

State and Territory Winners

The 48 State and Territory winners who do not become National Finalists will have their doodles included in the Doodle 4 Google gallery. Each State and Territory Winner will receive:

  • An Android tablet
  • A t-shirt printed with his or her doodle on it
