ALL
students need to remember to:

check
in,
·
pick
up a name tag and wear it,
·
remain
quiet in the hallways, and
·
only
enter documentary and performance rooms in between judging.
Specific category
information:
Papers:
1. Show up at least 30 minutes prior to your
scheduled judging time.
2. You do not need to bring anything.
3. No one else is allowed in the judging room
with you.
Documentaries:
1. Judging starts at 9:00. If you want to
test the equipment in your room before judging, arrive by 8:30.
2. Your project must be on a working DVD.
It is possible the only viewing option in your judging room will be a DVD
player/TV combo.
3. Bring 5 copies of your Title page/Process
Paper/Bibliography. Give three copies to your judges in the preliminary
rounds. Keep one copy for yourself. Keep one copy for the judges if you make
finals.
4. Finals will be posted between 1 and 2 PM.
You must be present to show your documentary again between 2 and 4 PM if you
are a finalist. There are no questions in the finals.
5. Friends and family are allowed to watch
the documentaries.
Performance:
1. Bring your props and settings in from the
car and put them in the hallway outside of your judging room. Do not set up
until the judges instruct you to.
2. When it is your turn, give 3
copies of your Title Page/Process Paper/Bibliography to the judges then set
up your props and setting. You have 5 minutes to set up. Your parents and
friends may NOT help you. Practice this part. The judges will read your
paperwork while you set up.
3. After your performance, answer the judges’
questions first, then take down your set and take it out of the room while the
next group starts setting up.
4. Friends and family are allowed to watch
the performances.
5. You do not have to wear your nametag on
any costume, but you should wear it on your regular clothes during the day.
Exhibit:
1. You must set up your exhibit between 8:00
and 9:00 AM, regardless of your judging time.
2. The exhibit room doors will be locked at
9:00 AM so the judges can preview all the exhibits.
3. Bring 5 copies of your Title Page/Process
Paper/Bibliography. Leave 4 copies in front of your exhibit when you set
it up. Keep one copy with you. Judges in the preliminary round will likely take
three copies and leave you one for the finals.
4. Finals will be posted between 1 and 2 PM.
If you are a finalist, verify that there is still one copy of your
bibliography. You do NOT need to be present for finals judging.
5. No one else is allowed in the judging room
with you.
6. Come back at 4:00 to pick up your exhibit.
